Colonies
A colony is a group of players who live and work together in the realms — a house, a bloodline, a guard. You belong to exactly one, and that is what makes it mean something.
How you join one
Somebody has to let you in
Joining happens in-world: find a colony’s sign on their land, touch Request to Join, and a leader accepts you. Ask on the Tavern if you cannot find one — most colonies are happy to be asked.

The Crown of Everdale

The Crown of Everdale is the realm's governing house, seated in the capital city of Everdale. It keeps The Grand Exchange, the great market where the realm's reserve is held and from which every other market is supplied. When a far market runs short, the Crown posts a courier contract, and merchants of every colony carry the goods out, one crate at a time. A share of each delivery's reward is paid into the Exchequer, the Crown's treasury, and spent on the realm's roads, halls and common works. The Crown does not take sides between colonies; it keeps the scales even, the stores full and the roads open.
