A riverside trading post at sunset: two traders shaking hands over a sealed crate on a trestle table, a merchant weighing coin beside them, and porters carrying crates down to a barge on the river.

Members selling to members

The Trading Post

Every listing here belongs to a member, not to us. They sealed the goods, they set the price in Linden dollars, and they keep every Linden — SL Colonies Roleplay is not the seller and takes no commission.

How it works

Sealed by a member, and sold as sealed

What is inside a crate was frozen the moment it was sealed and cannot be changed — look inside any of them before you buy. We hold the money until the goods change hands, and nothing else.

Buying in the wrong place is easy here, so: our own products are in Treasure, the game’s own prices in coins are on the market board, and this page is players selling to each other for Linden dollars. New to the game? See where the goods come from.

You pay our bot in-world, exactly as you would pay a vendor. Nothing on this page can take money — it only tells us what your next payment is for.

Selling here

Sell what you make for Linden dollars

Anything you farm, gather, cook or craft can be sold here. Pack it into a crate, seal it, and list it. The whole sale price is yours.

  1. Craft a crate

At the Carpentry Bench, in four sizes holding 2,500 to 25,000 items. The small ones are level 0, so anybody can make one on their first day.

  2. Pack it here

Fill it on the website from your backpack, any storage you own and every character on your account at once. Coins and platinum stay out.

    Your crates →
  3. Seal it

One platinum for every 500 items. The seal fixes the contents for good, puts your brand on the crate and publishes exactly what is inside.

  4. List it, or take it in-world

Set a fixed price or run an auction of 1 to 14 days. Or have a real crate delivered in-world, to sell from your own vendor, on the Marketplace or by hand.

Anybody can craft a crate, pack it, seal it and sell it here, and anybody can buy one and open what they bought. You do not need a membership: the only cost of sealing is the platinum the seal takes, shown before you confirm.

Watch it done

The whole journey, start to finish

A crate packed, sealed and put on sale twice, once at a fixed price and once at auction, then a physical crate rezzed in-world and handed to another avatar.

  • Crafting crates at the Carpentry Bench
  • Packing from every character and chest you have
  • Sealing, your brand, and the manifest buyers read
  • Fixed prices, auctions and maximum bidding
  • The physical crate: bound, branded and passed on

Buying here

What a buyer needs to know

Look inside first

Every crate publishes its manifest: each item, each quantity, and the real numbers, from a weapon's damage and durability to what a food restores. Search the market for the item you want.

Pay the bot in-world

When you buy or bid, our bot sends you an IM in Second Life asking for the L$. Pay it and the crate is yours. Open it whenever you like and the goods go to your backpack.

Outbid? Refunded

At auction you name the most you will pay and are charged only what it takes to beat the next bidder. If somebody beats you, your money comes back automatically. A bid in the last three minutes moves the close three minutes on, so nobody wins by posting in the final second.
