Watch it work
The product tutorial, start to finish.
Read it written up on the forum — the same walkthrough, with the numbers, and somewhere to ask.
Gather round one with company and you bank social points, a second pool of energy worth roughly a hundred free actions.
It ticks every five minutes, within 32 metres, one point per person present. Alone you earn nothing, and two of you still only makes one — this is built for events, not for farming quietly. A trivia question between ticks is worth five points on the spot.
Drinking makes it faster. Your drunk percentage adds a bonus to every tick, so the colonist drinking with you out-earns the one who is not. Push it to your maximum, though, and you die of alcohol poisoning and lose the lot. That is deliberate: the brewery profession had nothing pulling on it, and now it does.
Points are spent somewhere else. Click a stone on another region, choose Points, and everything you do draws from social before it touches energy, one for one. Go to somebody's event, go home, and your fields cost you nothing that day.
Fully modifiable — one region turned theirs into a campfire and calls it the social fire.
